Legal Intern

Twiga Foods welcomes recent law graduates to apply for a legal internship with us.

This person will work under our Legal and Administration department on a full-time basis. We have one position open for a 3-month duration with the possibility of extension. This is a paid internship position.

About the Internship

Interns will gain experience by:

  • Drafting and reviewing various contracts and agreements
  • Drafting correspondences, briefs, and opinions
  • Conducting and taking meetings with clients
  • Compiling legal information and referral resources
  • Researching legal questions
  • Assisting in other duties in the department

The intern will be exposed to varying areas of practice like corporate law, corporate governance, legal drafting, environmental law, labour and employment law

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Top performing law graduate awaiting to join KSL
  • Organized with a high level of initiative
  • Interest in corporate law
  • High level of research, writing and communication skills
  • Self-driven and tech savvy

Agronomist

Twiga is Hiring!

We are looking for an experienced agronomist to manage farm operations by ensuring excellent business and farm management practices are adhered to.

To be successful for this role, you must be ready to work in a fast paced environment, self-driven, be hands on and good at  managing people and priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall operations of the farm
  • Aid in sharing and training proper procedures and techniques to assure high-quality production and good grower relations.
  • Apply for necessary field quality and safety assurance
  • Maintain crop records of all fields/productions in a timely manner, including updating crop estimates,  and suggestions
  • Organize and coordinate planting, cultivating and crop harvesting activities
  • Maintain complete records of all farm expenses for budget purposes
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned

 

Required Competencies

  • Must have good communication skills, including both oral and written presentations
  • Must have good computer skills, being able to effectively use Excel, Word, and email for correspondence, along with mobile
  • Academic background in Agriculture
  • Personal interest in agricultural trends and technologies
  • Minimum of three years of fieldwork experience within the agronomy industry preferred
